Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP in short, is a medication regimen for individuals who are HIV-negative (not sure about your HIV status, get tested with us!) but might be at risk of HIV due to their risky behaviors. It’s a daily pill that, when taken consistently and correctly, will reduce the chance of HIV infection to near-zero.
It should be noted that PrEP does NOT prevent pregnancy or protect people from getting STIs.
At Chhouk Sar, you can get PrEP for free! It’s also a rather simple procedure for you to register for PrEP at our clinic!
If you think you’ve been at risk (learn more about what behaviors put you at risk here), maybe PrEP is right for you! You can drop by our clinic or get in touch with us through out phone hotlines to learn more on how you can get PrEP at our clinic. Our counselor will walk you through the process and answer any questions you might have about this new HIV prevention option.
In the meantime, you can always head over to our Frequently Asked Questions page to learn more about PrEP.
